Si applicano le regole standard del Sudoku: riempi ogni riga, colonna e box 3×3 con le cifre 1–9, ciascuna apparendo esattamente una volta.
Lo Skyscraper Sudoku immagina ogni cifra come un edificio di quella altezza. Gli indizi all'esterno della griglia indicano quanti edifici si vedono guardando da quel bordo verso l'interno — un edificio più alto blocca tutti gli edifici più bassi dietro di esso. Each number tells you how many distinct 'buildings' (digits) are visible when looking into that row or column from that side.
